This sword is signed “Kiyomitsu” (清光) and has a blade length of 59.4 cm. The name Kiyomitsu is most famously associated with the Bizen Osafune school during the late Muromachi to early Edo period (16th–17th century). Several generations used the name, particularly active from the Eiroku to Kan’ei eras. Their works are known for fine forging and elegant proportions suited for real combat.

The blade shows a well-forged itame-hada (板目肌) and retains a straight or slightly undulating hamon, consistent with the characteristics of the Kiyomitsu lineage.

It is mounted in a Type 98 Japanese Army gunto koshirae with a leather-covered scabbard, indicating it was carried during the wartime period.
