A mumei Japanese sword, likely from the Edo period, with a blade length of 68 cm. The nakago has two mekugi-ana and shows multiple forging flaws. The blade features a clear choji hamon. It is mounted in a well-preserved Imperial Japanese Navy officer’s koshirae, fitted with a custom brass ishitsuki and a silver habaki.
