A signed Japanese sword bearing the name Sukesada (祐定), measuring approximately 65.0 cm in blade length with 1.4 cm of sori. The blade has undergone extensive ō-suriage, and retains a predominantly suguha hamon with several gentle undulations. The jihada displays well-defined itame with areas of masame, showing a fine and natural forging grain.

Sukesada was one of the most prominent smith names of the Sue-Bizen tradition, centered in Osafune, Bizen Province. The name was used by multiple generations of smiths from the late Muromachi period into the Azuchi-Momoyama period, with known examples dating from approximately the early 16th century through the late 16th century.

Given the surviving inscription and workmanship, this sword can be placed within the Sue-Bizen Sukesada tradition, most likely dating to the 16th century, approximately c.1500–1580.

The sword is mounted in Type 98 guntō koshirae with a leather-covered scabbard, typical of field-service mounts. The remounting of traditionally forged blades into military fittings was common during the wartime period, reflecting continued functional use.
