An unsigned Japanese work dating to the Muromachi period (14th–16th century), measuring approximately 61.0 cm in length with 1.3 cm of sori. The hamon is predominantly suguha, featuring several gentle undulations, while the jihada displays a natural itame grain.
The sword is mounted in Type 98 guntō koshirae with a leather-covered scabbard, typical of field-service mounts. The remounting of traditionally forged blades into military fittings was common during the wartime period, reflecting continued functional use.
