This is an unsigned Japanese sword attributed to a smith of the Yamashiro tradition from the Kamakura period(12-13th century). The blade measures 60.3 cm in length with a graceful curvature of 1.6 cm, showing an elegant and classical tachi-style sugata characteristic of early Japanese sword craftsmanship.
The blade features a refined suguha hamon, calm and dignified in appearance, reflecting the restrained aesthetic associated with the Yamashiro tradition. The overall workmanship emphasizes elegance, balance, and refined steel quality rather than exaggerated activity, in keeping with the taste of Kamakura-period courtly swordsmithing.
