An unsigned Japanese katana measuring 68.0 cm in blade length, with 0.7 cm of sori. The blade has a long and slender form with very shallow curvature, characteristic of the refined and restrained style of Edo-period Shintō.
The jihada is a fine and tightly forged ko-itame hada, with a clean and subtle appearance. The hamon is primarily suguha-based with slight undulations, with a clearly visible nioi-based temper line.
The sword is mounted in Type 98 guntō koshirae with a leather-covered scabbard, typical of field-service mounts. The remounting of traditionally forged blades into military fittings was common during the wartime period, reflecting continued functional use.
